This 1950's rambler got a much needed transformation.
Over the course of a year, the home was updated with
HVAC, plumbing and electrical upgrades, as well as new
flooring, cabinetry and appliances.

We transformed the house into a home suitable for a busy
professional who loves horse racing and running marathons.
New flooring, window treatments, suede paint, and design
elements which captures his personality and helped add
storage made this a remarkable design!

A huge undertaking to change this room into a master bedroom!
The owner had a lot of homework - removing unnecessary
furniture and clutter to make room for a new bedroom suite!

Using sofas which were in the basement and painting one wall
a rich brown color started this design. A few accessories added
a huge impact to this family room!
|

For this family basement, the owners' desire was to create
storage for the kid's toys while making the multi-functional
space a place to entertain. We worked with the owners to
select new flooring and bring in storage solutions with a
dedicated workspace for each child. Kate's window design was
created by Mark to turn a small window into a focal point that

A true study in color - we wanted to bring in vibrant and
colorful window treatments, wall color and accessories
and really dress the room up to reflect the young,
professional couple's style!

A young professional couple and their toddler was in
need of an inviting home. Simply painting, adding window
treatments and organizing the space made a huge
difference! Color on the walls was the first step, adding a
coordinating area rug and window treatments really
punched up this redesign.

"Kate, You are an angel, an artist and a magician, all rolled into
one! I can't thank you enough for the happiness that you have given
to me and my family. It's been almost two weeks since our redesign
and I'm still on cloud-9 over the amazing transformation that you

A new area rug was the beginning of this Dining room
make over. Adding window treatments, artwork, floral
arrangements and light shades helped create a more
stately dining area.

Redesigning Annette's family room was easily achieved
by rearranging her furniture and artwork and brining in
an area rug and updated lamps. The results are a more
welcoming and cozy feel!

We moved the entertainment center into another room,
organized and redesigned the space and added new
window treatments, lamps, and color to the existing
furnishings to warm up the family room.

For this studio apartment at Pentagon Row, we
needed a multi-functional, space saving approach,
yet bring in elegant furnishings and accessories the
young professional desired. We gave her a dining
area that also serves as extra seating and work
space by mixing the seating up and changing the
table top. The one of a kind bed also creates a
storage area behind and below.

Wanting to create a great way to showcase the owner's
art collection, Kate and Mark built custom sized frames
lined with microsuede to coordinate the various
performance pieces. The artwork was then used in the

Kate worked with Janine and her family to bring in color
through window treatments, paint and accessories. As part
of their certification, Alicia and Sheri demonstrated their
capabilities in redesign.

The focal point of the room, the fireplace, was not
easily viewed and lacked a design that would make
it spectacular. We brought in more color through
accessories and decor items, built a mantle and
rearranged furniture to make the room appear
much larger and more inviting.

We transformed this master bedroom into a
masculine, yet romantic Master suite by bringing in

Creating a living space in the renovated Maury
Commons Condominiums, we brought in an eclectic,
well-traveled design with furnishings from Gallahan's of
Fredericksburg. Under new management, Gallahan's is
a great source for great finds. This condo, as well as a
few more, are for sale and the listing agents are Hunter
and Peggy Scott, Coldwell Bankers Elite.

Kate created "windows" on a focal wall to match the
beautiful bay windows and to create a great space
for the owner's unique art pieces.
As part of the certification for Alicia and Sheri -
through demonstrating their capabilities with
furniture arrangement and organization, the room
is more cozy and coordinated.

We maximized the use of limited space. We were

bookcase. After organizing the space and

The desire was to create a great place for
entertaining that had the look and feel of a refined,
yet down-to-earth and welcoming bar and billiards
room. After designing the layout and selecting the
cabinets, flooring, lighting and color, we worked with a
general contractor, Steve Duckworth, to finish the
space. Decorative accessories, furnishings and
artwork were then selected to finish the look. See

After having Sorin and his team strip wall paper
and add color, we brought in elements to pull in
more color and design to the home. We were able
to actually create more space in the Dining room
by rearranging existing furnishings and the overall
results are amazing!

We didn't know where to begin or how to make anything
functional. What we did know was that we needed a new
space. We went from a vacant four-car garage to a beautiful
living space for us and it was through your wonderful design
